A- READING COMPREHENSION

Read the text carefully and answer the questions

Text: Means of information in Madagascar

In Madagascar, we mainly have three means of information: newspapers, radios and televisions.

Newspapers are read by a lot of people in town. Articles and their illustrations are generally interesting. Besides, newspapers may be bought by everyone because they are not expensive. Unfortunately, neither daily nor weekly papers can reach all people especially those who live far from city.

Radio is also another efficient means of information. It does not cost a lot so it is the most used mass media in Madagascar. Every home, even in remote areas, may have a radio set. All kinds of information such as weather forecasts, news as well as music are broadcast.

Another type of mass media is television. However, it seems to be only reserved for city dwellers until now. This is because there is no electricity in the countryside and it is rather costly for majority of the population.

As a conclusion, the development of means of information contributes to the development of a country so the government should find a way to make the Malagasy people have easier access to information.
